As the company continues to expand further we have a number of exciting opportunities for motivated individuals to join our team. We are looking for a Biostatistician/Bioinformatician to join the Translational Sciences team. The department transfers knowledge between laboratory and clinical studies to improve our preclinical pipeline and ultimately treatment efficacy for patients. Alongside experimental design and implementation of statistical analysis, the successful candidate will work closely throughout the wide scope of the Translational Sciences group and alongside other internal departments. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong statistical background who is interested in supporting the development of novel biological technologies.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field of study with an emphasis on statistics and their application.
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in a wide range of statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in use of statistical software (R/SAS) and data manipulation/visualization tools also preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, which will allow ease of communication with a variety of scientists

Desirable:

  • Prior experience designing statistical analysis approaches for exploratory biological and clinical research and bioinformatics
  • Experience with both Bayesian and frequentist reasoning approaches
  • Background in biological sciences (e.g. immunology or cellular biology and genetics) or a related field.
  • Strong interest in contributing to biological research with clinical applications.
  • Individual who works well as a part of a team and should be comfortable delivering presentations.
