Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – Thymic and Immune Regeneration

A post-doctoral research fellow position is available immediately in the Program in Immunology, Clinical Research Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, in the lab of Jarrod Dudakov. The primary interest of the Dudakov Lab (http://research.fhcrc.org/dudakov/en.html) is to understand the mechanisms underlying endogenous (natural) thymic regeneration so that new therapies might be developed to enhance T-cell immunity. Using common molecular and cellular biology techniques, the fellow will investigate novel pathways of regeneration in the thymus. The position will also focus on application of these pathways to development of new therapeutic strategies to enhance immune function.

Successful applicants will have:

  • A PhD degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics or other closely related field
  • Molecular biology experience, including experience in DNA/RNA isolation, molecular cloning, cell transduction, and qPCR
  • Experience with immunological techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and western blot
  • Training in animal procedures, including colony management and genotyping a plus

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a track record of productive research, exemplified by first author publication(s) and presentations, and willing to work in a highly collaborative environment.
