Our laboratory studies the role of microRNAs and extracellular vesicles in immunoregulation in the pathogenesis of liver diseases. The postdoctoral fellow’s research will focus on how sterile danger signals from liver injury and gut-derived signals that affect the communication between hepatocytes and innate immune cell populations and their phenotypes within neutrophils, macrophages and dendritic cells. Strong background in innate immunity and/or immunology and proficiency in signal transduction and molecular techniquesis required. Applicants should have MD and/or PhD degree and training in advanced immunology and/or virology or molecular immunology and be no more than 2 years after their last degree.
UMMS is a fantastic research environment with great collaborations and resources.
